What this is

A subscription platform for Pilates and Barre, one instructor at a time.

Clients subscribe directly to you, at the price you set, for a class library that's entirely yours. We built The Studio Online specifically around Pilates and Barre, so everyone searching Discover is already looking for exactly what you teach.

70%

Yours, before Stripe's standard processing fee. The 30% we keep is a platform fee, covering hosting, payments and finding you subscribers.

Weekly

Payouts land every Friday, straight to your bank via Stripe.

£0

Free to apply, free to start. No sign-up fee, ever.

Try it

You set the price. You keep 70%.

Whatever you charge, that's the split on every renewal, for as long as someone stays subscribed. No tiers, no negotiating. Stripe's standard processing fee comes off your share separately, same as any online payment. Drag the sliders to see what a library your size, at your price, could be worth.

£210.00

That's £10.50 per subscriber, before Stripe's standard processing fee, which comes off your side same as any online payment.

Illustrative only. Paid out weekly via Stripe, minus Stripe's standard processing fee.

Why here

Built so you can just teach.

Room to be found

Your own profile in Discover, a shareable link to your free taster class, and challenges with a public finisher wall, all built to help people come across you.

You keep control

Your price, your content, your name on it. Leave with 30 days' notice whenever you want, no questions, no lock-in.

Earn without extra hours

Record a class once and it keeps earning on every renewal after, with no extra studio hire or travelling between sessions.

Real community, not just views

Private feedback from your subscribers, favourites, ratings, and your own challenges people can work through and finish together.

Built around your life

Early starts and late finishes taught you everything. They shouldn't be the only way you earn.

Teaching in a studio means fitting a life around 6am and 7pm slots. The Studio Online runs alongside that, not instead of it, a library people subscribe to and keep paying for, whether you're in the room teaching or not.

What we look for

Nothing fancy, just proper teaching.

  • Filmed in landscape, 1080p or better, with clear sound and cueing throughout. It's online, so your voice does the work your hands would in the room.
  • Structured progressively, beginner through advanced, not a one-off circuit.
  • Modifications offered as you go, with clear notes on who a class isn't for.
  • No background music on the videos. Copyright, not taste.
  • One short free sample class is optional but recommended. It's the single biggest thing that turns a visitor into a subscriber.
What you'll need

The basics, sorted once.

  • Your instructing qualification, plus REPs or CIMSPA membership if you have it.
  • Public liability and professional indemnity insurance to £1m, kept in date.
  • Three classes filmed and ready before your profile goes live.

Adults-only platform, so there's no DBS check to sort.

Teaching on The Studio Online

You've already done the hard part: you can teach. This is somewhere to do it online without building a platform, chasing payments or starting your audience from scratch. Free to apply, free to start, no sign-up fee. We only earn when you do.

Your studio, your way

Your profile, your name, your method, front and centre.

  • You set your price, charged per subscriber, per month. We suggest somewhere around £8 to £20, but it's your call.
  • You keep 70% of every payment, the first month and every renewal after. Our 30% covers the platform and the marketing that brings people to you. Stripe's standard processing fee (typically 1.5% to 2.9%, plus 20p per charge) comes out of your 70%, the same as it would on any online payment.
  • Payouts land in your bank every Friday.
  • Film when it suits you, from wherever suits you.
  • The subscriber base is ours to grow and look after. Your classes and your name stay yours.

What we look for in a class

Nothing fancy, just proper teaching.

  • A structure people can actually progress with, not a one-off circuit.
  • Pilates or Barre, or both.
  • Classical and contemporary Pilates are both welcome. Just be clear on your profile which one you teach.
  • Filmed in landscape, in 1080p or better, with clear sound and detailed cueing throughout. It's online, so your voice does the work your hands would in the room.
  • Plenty of modifications offered as you go, and clear notes in the class description for anyone pre or postnatal, carrying an injury, or otherwise needing to take care.
  • Works with just a mat. Props are a bonus, never required.
  • One short free sample class, 5 to 10 minutes, that anyone can watch without subscribing. It's optional, but we push it hard: it lets someone who's never trained with you see how you teach before they commit, and it does a lot of the work in converting a visitor into a subscriber.
  • No background music on the videos. Copyright, not taste.
  • At least two new classes a month once you're live, so subscribers always have something fresh and it stays fair on them.

What you'll need

  • Your instructing qualification, plus REPs or CIMSPA membership if you have it.
  • Public liability and professional indemnity insurance to £1m, kept in date.
  • Three classes filmed in landscape and ready before your profile goes live.
  • It's an adults-only platform, so there's no DBS check to sort.

How it works

  1. You apply and tell us about yourself and your teaching.
  2. We read every application properly, a real person rather than a bot. It's usually a quick conversation.
  3. Once you're accepted, you build your profile, set up payouts with Stripe (we walk you through it) and upload classes at your own pace.
  4. You go live when you're ready and have three classes up.

The rest of the detail

The instructor agreement covers everything else: how pricing changes work, insurance renewals, leaving, and so on. You'll see it in full before you commit to anything.
